Cypress Pine is a naturally oily timber, commonly used on structures, decking, poles, panelling and flooring. It is a hard, heavy and fairly strong timber which tends to be slightly brittle. It has a natural resistance to insect attack. |

This is Radiata Pine which has been pressure treated to resist decay, termites and fungi. The timber is saturated during treatment so it is essential to let it dry properly before coating or staining. It is widely used for decks, pergolas and fences. |

Jarrah is heavy and tough with a slight pleasant odour. It is reasonably easy to work with although care is needed when nailing to avoid splitting. Jarrah accepts most finishes well and is used for flooring, decking, joinery and furniture. |

This extremely durable hardwood is resistant to termites and decay, and is most commonly used for timber decking. It has a rich brown colour but is susceptible to tannin bleed that appears as a red-brown colour. The best time to coat Merbau is when the timber has started to lose its red colour. |

Commonly used for interior applications including flooring, cupboards, wall panelling and furniture. It has a uniform light beige to pink colour and readily accepts stains and coatings. |

General Rules:
- Do not apply coatings if the temperature falls below 10°C or rises above 30°C
- Under cooler or humid conditions allow longer drying times
