It is important to make sure you and the environment are damaged as little as possible throughout the painting process. Follow these simple safety tips and disposal guide and paint with confidence.
 
Safety
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Always ensure there is adequate ventilation, particularly when working with oil based paints.
  • If working indoors, keep windows and doors open during use and while drying.
  • If spraying follow equipment guidelines and wear a suitable respirator.
  • Store containers in a cool place and out of direct sunlight.
  • Do not shake containers, instead stir with a flat stirrer to ensure all ingredients are properly mixed.

Disposal
Disposing of unwanted paint and containers is important for the environment. accent recommends you do not pour leftover paint down the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper, allowed to dry and then disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty paint containers should be left open in a well ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the containers via steel can recycling programs. Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. Alternatively, keep unwanted paint in sealed containers for disposal via chemical waste collections.
